ATHENS, Ohio –– The Fire Department will be flushing and testing hydrants in Athens 9 a.m.–4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24, on the following streets:
- Hope Dr.
- Park Dr.
- Townsend Pl.
- Eden Pl.
- Grand Park Blvd.
- Avon Pl.
- Euclid Dr.
- Charles St.
- Graham Dr.
- Strathmore Blvd.
- Utah Pl.
You may experience discolored water due to iron sediment stirred up from increased flow, but the water remains safe. No boil order will be issued for hydrant flushing, but the City recommends you do not wash laundry during this time.
