Floyd W. Russell, 76 of Glouster, passed away Tuesday June 25, 2024, at his residence. He was born February 12, 1948, in Greens Run to the late Harry and Mary Ayers Russell. Floyd was a retired sprinkler fitter, retiring from Central Fire Protection. He was a member and trustee of the Jacksonville Eagles #1034 for many years, and he loved to travel and spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; two sons, Floyd Eric (Jennifer Barnhart) Russell of Athens and Joshua (Wendy) Russell of Glouster; a stepdaughter, Rachel Mullen; three grandchildren, Tyler Russell, Raven Mullen and Griffin Dennis; a great-grandchild, Marley Russell; a sister, Linda McClain; a special friend, Todd Lowry; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Mia Russell, and brothers Harold, Harry and Cecil.
