Gladys Ann Dixon

Gladys Ann (Windle) Dixon, 89 of Glouster passed away Thursday August 14, 2025 at  Kimes Nursing and Rehab in Athens.  She was born July 27, 1936 in Nelsonville to the late John and Carrie Windle.  She graduated from Nelsonville High School in 1954.  She lived in Glouster with her husband Bill, for more than 50 years.  Gladys was a member of the Glouster Church of Christ and was a Realtor for 30 years in the Glouster area.

She is survived by three daughters, Diane (Bill) Gwilym, Kathy Locke, and Vicky (Dave) Gilders, all of Glouster; grandchildren, Dr. Jennifer Gwilym of Athens, Keith (Megan) Locke of Huntersville, NC, Joe (Monica) Gwilym of Athens, Brad (Emily) Gilders of Wauwatosa, WI, and Tiffany (Nick) Dickens of Glouster; great grandchildren, Kaden, Carter, and Cooper Gwilym, Colin Gilders, and Emie and Ean Dickens; and siblings, Barbara Sue Berghausen, Debbie Johnson, and Johnny Windle.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Dixon; a son-in-law, Ken Locke; siblings, Gay Mace, Kay Windle, Donna Jean Wright, Penny Hickman, Larry Windle, and Mike Windle.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday August 18, 2025 at the Morrison Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville with Dirk Walton officiating.  Interment will be in the Maplewood Cemetery, Glouster.
