Gwen J. Docie, 80 of Glouster passed away Monday January 22, 2024, at Ohio Living Sarah Moore in Delaware, Ohio. Born February 24, 1943, in Barberton, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Lucy McCune Harvey. She retired from the Glouster Community Bank after 34 years of service. Gwen was a member of the Bishopville Church of Christ, Glouster Garden Club, Order of Eastern Star Thea Chapter 192 in Trimble, and enjoyed crocheting, reading and walking.
She is survived by two sons, Aaron (Tina) Docie of Lewis Center and Darron Docie of Delaware; a daughter, Sharon (Scott) Spradlin of Midlothian, VA; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a brother, Terry (Mary Helen) Harvey of Glouster.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alex “Dick” Docie.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday January 27, 2024, at the Bishopville Church of Christ with Jon Hanning officiating. Interment will be in the Maplewood Cemetery, Glouster. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. Arrangements have been entrusted to Morrison Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville.
