GUYSVILLE- Hubert Lee “Rocky” Buck, age 70, of Guysville died Sunday, Jan. 7, 2024 at the home of his niece. Born Oct. 12, 1953 in Marion, he was the son of the late Hubert Buck, Jr. and Donna Dodson Buck. He was raised in the home of his grandparents, Hubert & Maggie Buck.
He attended school at Shade and was a farmer. He maintained the family farm and the area around Buck’s Lake in the Garden (Lodi Township). A kind hearted man, he enjoyed fishing and hunting mushrooms.
Rocky is survived by a sister, Charlotte Buck of Athens; a brother, Alvin (Ruth) McDaniel of Guysville; several nieces and nephews including Nikki (James) Stobart of Guysville, Megan (D.J.) Fore of Coolville and Thomas (Mariah) Collins of Shade; he is also survived by several cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents; a sister, Peggy Buck; and his longtime pet companion, Spud. Friends may call Friday 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Jagers & Sons Funeral Home, Athens. A graveside service will be held at the Garden Cemetery on Friday at 1:00 p.m. conducted by Pastor Calvin Jarvis. A Celebration of His Life will be held for family and friends in the Spring of 2024.
