John Clark Metcalf, 65 of Glouster passed away Friday January 31, 2025, at his residence. He was born February 17, 1959, in Chesterhill. He was employed by Trans Canada Gas Company and was the owner of Metcalf Drilling. He was a member of the Glouster Moose Lodge #1197, Trimble Masonic Lodge #557, the National Rifle Association and the National Turkey Federation. He was an avid hunter and trapper and always raised Coon dogs. He enjoyed coaching baseball when his kids were young.
He is survived by his mother Sue Metcalf; a son, Casey (Mallory Owings) Metcalf; two daughters Danielle (Trey Young) Metcalf and Jayde (Jay Edwards) Metcalf; grandchildren Bryce Bulstrom, Preslei and Easton Kovach, Khloe Edwards, Zayden Jenkins and Cohen Rippeth; a brother Kent (Debbie) Metcalf; a sister Kelly (Charles Chancey) Tobin; nieces and nephews Brian (Sara) Metcalf, Aimee Metcalf, Bruce and Blake Fouts, and Brandy King; many great nieces and nephews; the mother of his children Jamie Metcalf; his mother-in-law Sandy Gyure and many great friends including Tom Cox, Brad Everett, Duane King, Frankie Fierce, and Davey Christman.
He was preceded in death by his father John Metcalf.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday February 6, 2025, at the Morrison Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville, with Debbie Koons officiating. Interment will be in the Maplewood Cemetery, Glouster. Visitation will take place on Wednesday February 5, 2025, from 5 -8 pm at the funeral chapel, where there will be a Masonic service at 7:30.
