John “Jack” Albert Fleischer, 69 of Trimble passed away Monday December 4, 2023, at his residence. Born April 25, 1954, in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Richard John and Mary Eileen Scudder Fleischer. He formerly worked at D.S.C.C. in Columbus and as a mechanic. He was a marine veteran and a member of the Glouster Moose.
He is survived by two daughters, Amanda Mercer of Glouster and Sabrina (Todd) Coey of Glouster; grandchildren, Thai Michael, Colten (Alexis Brown) Coey, Allory (Tyler Roback) Mercer, Ethan Coey, Peyton Hiles, and Mason Coey; great grandchildren, Violet and Xavier Roback and Greyson Coey; a brother, Michael Fleischer of Trimble; sisters, Kathleen (Diane Lancaster) Fleischer of Delaware, Dorlisa (Mike) Graybeal of Delaware, and Suzanne Fleischer of Cleveland; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Paul Richards and family, Mark Schumacher, and Jim Berry; and his dog, Candy.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Christina Yocum.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday December 12, 2023, at the Morrison Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville with Rocky Exline officiating. Interment will be in the Maplewood Cemetery, Glouster where there will be a military service conducted by the United States Marines and the Combined Color Guard Unit.
