Judy (Sparks) (Coe) Brown, AKA “Granny”, 97 of Bishopville, passed away on Wednesday May 13, 2026, at her residence. She was born on August 19, 1928, to the late Albert “Red” and Fannie Mount Sparks. She was employed by Yorde Machine Company, Sylvania and Goodyear, and also was an aid for the Nelsonville York City Schools. Judy lived on Burr Oak where she enjoyed pontooning, fishing, camping, and having a beer around numerous family campfires.
Granny is survived by a daughter Penny Savage of Circleville; two sons J.R. (Kelly) Coe of Louisiana and Richard Coe of Bishopville. She had a special affection for her seven grandchildren, Sam (Deidra) Savage, J.P. (Seak) Pancake, Michelle Holbert, Mistie Pancake, R.C. (Jessica) Coe, Jack Coe, and Reese Coe; her great grandchildren Cassie (Austin) Kasler, Emily (Wyatt) Denny, Sammy Savage, Jonathan Holbert, Mason Savage, Tanner Holbert, Andi Coe, Jaxson Coe, Kennedy Coe, Wyatt Coe, Conner Coe, Kenzie Glenn, and Kaylie Wallace; great-great grandchildren Paisley Hammond, Weston Kasler and Gentry Denny; and a son-in-law Thomas Gumpf of Buchtel.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Jim Brown and a daughter Billie Gumpf.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Ohio Health Hospice, specifically to Charles Kish, for the attention and care that was given to her.
