Judy Radford

NEW MARSHFIELD- Judy G. (Shaw) Radford, 83, of New Marshfield, passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at OhioHealth O’Bleness Hospital. Judy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Born on November 26,1941, in Athens, Ohio, Judy was the daughter of Vernon and Billie Shaw. A graduate of Athens High School, Judy retired from Ohio University’s Facilities Management with 25 years of service. She was a member of Athens Church of Christ.

Judy married the love of her life, Larry Radford, in 1961. She was his beloved wife for 52 years until his passing in 2014. Besides her husband and parents, Judy was preceded in death by a son-in-law Gary Bartlett, sister Shirley (Richard) Bean, and brothers Dick (Sandy) Shaw and Jim Shaw.

Judy is survived by her four children Debbie (Joe) Kuhn of New Marshfield, Shari (Jeff) Gabriel of Athens, Christi (Steve) Williams of Coolville, and Danny (Lisa) Radford of Guysville.

Grandchildren Brian Bartlett, Jessica (Robert) Hope, Jeffrey (Nikki) Gabriel, Amanda Williams, Bradley Bartlett, Jenni (Brian) Suerdick, Ethan (Raven) Williams, Jaycie Kuhn, Wyatt Radford and Wesley Radford. Thirteen great-grandchildren, a sister Peg Storts, of Albany, sister-in-law Joy Shaw, of Knoxville, TN, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at Jagers and Sons Funeral Home in Athens on Monday, May 12th at 11:00 a.m. with Bruce Stoker, Minister. Friends may call on the family from 9:00 a.m. prior to service. Burial will immediately follow at Alexander Cemetery in Athens.
