LOGAN — Leatha L. (Sis) Zimmerman, 86, of Logan, passed away April 13, 2023, at her brother’s home after an extended illness.
Leatha was born Feb. 3, 1937, in Buchtel, the daughter of the late Edward J. and Vivian M. (Wray) Proctor. She was given the name Sis at an early age and was known only by that name to many family members and friends. Leatha was a graduate of New Straitsville High School where she was a cheerleader. She had a lengthy career with PNC Bank as it transitioned from Farmers & Merchants Bank to BancOhio to National City Bank and finally to PNC Bank in Logan. She was a member of First Church in Logan.
Leatha loved living in the country working outside doing landscaping and gardening. She liked to cook and was always making something new to try. She loved spending time with family and friends going out to eat, shopping and going to movies. She spent as much time as possible with her nieces and nephews and their families.
Leatha is survived by her brother, Jim (Ginny) Proctor of Pataskala and her sister, Judith (Paul) Boyle of New Straitsville; nieces Missy Wolford of Salem, Vikki (Damon) Kuhn of Logan and Lorie (Rick) Proctor of Ashville; nephews Paul (Wendi) Boyle Jr. of Lancaster and Nathan Boyle of Duncan Falls; and many grand-nieces, grand-nephews and cousins.
Leatha was preceded in death by her parents, brother Paul (Sharon) Proctor, and nephews Rick (Lorie) Proctor and Kelly Proctor.
Friends may call 1–2 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, at Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 East Second Street, Logan. The service will be at 2 p.m. with Brother Mike Martin officiating. Interment will be held at the Gore Cemetery, Gore, Ohio.
