To the editor:
I am voting for Ohio Issue 1 to get fair districts and better representation in Columbus and Washington. Along with other like-minded Ohioans, I helped get this proposal on the ballot with a signature-gathering effort because the Ohio Redistricting Commission acted unconstitutionally in drawing district boundaries.
This proposed constitutional amendment would remove politicians from the redistricting process and instead create a citizens commission to establish logical and representative Statehouse and Congressional districts. Such districts will result in competitive races and more bipartisan policy making.
Please join me in voting “yes” on State Issue 1.
