To the editor:
So many people rely on medical cannabis for a number of conditions and I was pleased to read State Representative Jamie Callender’s op-ed, “President Trump’s Leadership on Cannabis Rescheduling is a Win for Ohio“, which points to key reasons on why cannabis should be rescheduled from Schedule I to Schedule III. It is only right that leaders in our federal agencies finalize this change. Rescheduling cannabis would increase access for patients and expand opportunities in research, which would allow our legislators to create evidence-based policies that would benefit patients and doctors alike. Fortunately, rescheduling cannabis has received support from leaders across the aisle, including President Trump. It is clear that the time for change is now.
