Mary Ann Coffman Dupler

SENECAVILLE, Ohio — Mary Ann Coffman Dupler, 85, formerly of Jacksonville, passed on Sunday, July 30, 2023, 85, at home in Senecaville surrounded by family. Born February 3, 1938, in Wilsonburg, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Argil and Myrl Coffman.

Mary Ann retired from the Athens County Treasurer’s office after two decades of service. She was a 1956 graduate of Lancaster High School. Mary Ann was a member of the Glouster United Methodist Church. She was a devoted mother, wife, and grandmother. She enjoyed outdoor recreation and camping and was a member of the Southeastern Ohio Good Sam Chapter. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed reading and researching her family’s genealogy. She was a member of the Glouster Senior Citizen’s Line Dancing Group. Mary Ann enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and supported them in all they did. She loved fiercely, and will be missed by many.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Edward Dupler; her siblings, Ruth Myrl Coffman, Harold Eugene Coffman and Betty Jean (Cecil) Fisher; her parents-in-law, Leroy Clifton Dupler and Geraldine Marie Dupler-Beougher; a sister-in-law, Ellen Coffman; and
brothers-in-law Jerry Lee Dupler, Ronald David Dupler, Thomas Lee Dupler, and Steven Leroy Dupler.

She is survived by her three children, Dean Edward (Cindy) Dupler of The Plains, Diana Kay Dupler (Randy) Penrod of Senecaville and David Lee Dupler of Glouster; her grandchildren, Ryan (Stephanie) Dupler, Reid (Josie) Dupler, Brooks Penrod, Macie (Libby) Penrod, Abbey
(Peyton) Dupler and Emily Dupler; a special niece, Melissa Campbell (Steve) Bare; three special great-nieces, Whitney Campbell, Bayleigh (Charlie) Williams, Stevie Bare; great-grandchildren Ava, Will and Russ Dupler; her brother, Frederick Ray Coffman; sisters-in-law Rebecca (Joe) Clark, Joan Dupler and Patty Dupler; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 4, 2023, at Morrison Funeral Chapel in Bishopville with Pastor David Roach officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery near Rockbridge. Calling hours will be 4–7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Guernsey, Inc., or the Alzheimer’s Association Greater Cincinnati Chapter.
