Mary J. Keith, 90, of Glouster, passed away Sunday June 9, 2024, at her residence. She was born Dec. 2, 1933, in Athens County to the late Raphael and Garnett Rutter Snowden. She retired from the Goodyear Plant in Logan after 27 years of service and she was a member of the Glouster Church of Christ. Mary loved spending time with her family and driving her car up to the age of 90. She also enjoyed the time she spent with the STARS program at Trimble Elementary and working in her yard and flower beds.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda (Sam) Simons of Glouster; one son, Richard (Samantha) Keith Jr., of Jacksonville; grandchildren Shawn (Tracy) Simons, Stephanie (Angela) Simons, Nathan (Kayla) Simons, Jeremy (Trina) Keith, Sara (Josh) McClelland, Taylor Mills, Jacob (Lorraine) Keith, Faith Marie Mash, Journey Dawn, Dustin (Brandy) Altop, and Greg Keith; great grandchildren Tauren, Aurelia, Gavin, Axl, Mary, Garrett, Myrna, Hunter, Harper, Jamison, Alexander, Devon, Tanner, and Zoe; one sister, Maxine Auer of Glouster; a daughter-in-law Penny Keith; nieces and nephews Carol Dew, Mona Craig, James Auer and numerous others; two sisters-in-law Connie Stahl and Yvonne Keith; her special dog Daisy; and special friend and neighbor, Diana Kovach.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Richard Keith Sr., a son Greg Keith, and a sister Wilma Jean Williams.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday June 14, 2024, at the Glouster Church of Christ with Jerry Marang officiating. Interment will be in the Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
