ALBANY- Michael Anthony Grubbs, 34, of Albany passed away Monday evening, August 5, 2024 at his home. Born April 26, 1990 in Athens, he was the son of Michelle Flynn-Tedrow of Albany and Tony Grubbs of Albany.
A 2008 graduate of Alexander High School, he was employed as an electrician with Trout Electric, LLC and Ohio University. He had been employed with Lawn Masters & More as a landscaper. Michael enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, kayaking, boating, welding and fabricating, and dirt track racing where he drove a race car in enduro racing. His kids were very important to Michael and he enjoyed all of their activities.
In addition to his parents and step father, James Tedrow, Michael is survived by his wife of 12 years, Barbara Minthorne Grubbs; a daughter, Katelyn Grubbs; a step daughter, Brianna Polcyn; his grandfathers, Charles Grubbs of Athens and Charles “Pap” Flynn of Albany; two sisters, Alisha Flynn of Chauncey and Jessica (Hayes) Cremeans of Albany; two brothers, Blaise Tedrow of Albany and Skyler (Alexis) Flynn of Athens; a step brother, Brett Tedrow of Albany; also surviving are an uncle, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his grandmothers, Phyllis Grubbs and Sandra Flynn. A memorial service will be held Thursday, August 15th at 6:00 p.m. at Jagers & Sons Funeral Home, Athens. Friends may call 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home for expenses.
