PARKERSBURG – Michael David Cassels, 67, was born to James Eugene Cassels and Alberta Marguerite Miller Cassels on August 11, 1958, in Athens, Ohio. Michael peacefully passed away at Parkersburg Care Center on August 7, 2026.
Mike leaves behind to cherish his memory his sons: Michael Cassels II (Shawnic) of South Carolina and Bryan Cassels of West Virginia; his grandchildren, Brayden, Gunnar, and Tate; his sister, Unita Coconougher (Cecil); his brother, Jim Cassels; and many nieces and nephews, including his good friend, Mike.
Known affectionately by his friends as “Mr. Magoo,” Mike will be remembered for his unique personality, the memories he created, and the love he shared with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
