Neil E. Butt, 90 of Glouster passed away Wednesday September 18, 2024, at Genesis Hospital, Zanesville. Born May 7, 1934, in Newark, Ohio, he was the son of the late Vernon and Jeannette Titus Butt. He retired from the State of Ohio Department of Natural Resources as the Superintendent of Burr Oak Water and Dam. Neil was a member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Glouster.
He is survived by his wife, Jeannine Shockley Butt of Glouster; two sons, David L. (Melissa) Butt of Florida and Brian E. (Regina) Butt of Glouster; a daughter, Vickie Westfall of Ringgold; nine grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Celsey Frash; a son-in-law, Butch Westfall; and a sister, Coleen Kennedy.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday September 23, 2024, at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Trimble with Father Jeremiah Hahn officiating. A visitation will take place on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Morrison Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville. A message of comfort may be sent to the family atwww.morrisonfc.com.
