ALBANY- Norma Jean Bartlett, age 94, of Albany passed away Tuesday evening, March 19, 2024 at her home. Born Sept. 19, 1929 in The Plains, she was the daughter of the late Harry G. Lovsey and Blanche Cochran Lovsey.
A 1947 graduate of Waterloo High School, she was employed as a secretary at McBee’s Corporation for 20 years. She attended the Albany Methodist Church.
Norma is survived by her husband of 71 years, Roger L. Bartlett; a daughter, Teresa Bartlett of Albany; two grandsons, Brian Bartlett and Bradley Bartlett; two step granddaughters, Tiffany Hamill and Kate Hamill; a great grandson, Braden Smith; and two step great granddaughters, Gabriella and Isabelle Hollman.
Besides her parents she is preceded in death by an infant daughter, Lisa L. Bartlett; a son, Gary L. Bartlett; a son in law, Dave Hamill; seven sisters, Alma Rhorick, Margaret Hunter, Juanita Lovsey, Gertrude Llewellen, Lucille Efaw, Ladonna Haning and Shirley Gabriel; four brothers, Harrison, Johney, Herbert and Gilbert Lovsey.
Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, March 23rd at 12:00 noon at Jagers & Sons Funeral Home, Athens with Pastor James Stewart officiating. Burial will be in Alexander Cemetery, Hebbardsville.
