CORNING, Ohio –– Donald L. Bernard, 32, of Corning, passed away Saturday, Sept. 27, 2025, as the result of an automobile accident. He was born in Athens October 21, 1992 to Donald L. and Michele Spears Bernard.
He previously worked at Plaskolite in Zanesville. Most recently, he began a new position as a laborer with Midwest Fabricating in Amanda. He enjoyed watching both motorcycle and car races.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his girlfriend, Brittany Crawford; daughters, Leona and Ora Crawford; brothers, Matthew (Randi) Spears of Corning, Greg (Haley) Bernard of New Lexington, Brandon (Macey) Bernard of Corning, and Tyler (Krysta) Bernard of Corning; 9 nieces and nephews; and many aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Samuel and Betty Spears and Bonard and Nelle Bernard; and cousins Timothy Spears, Brianna Miller, and Jacob Barnhart.
A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, 2025, at the Morrison Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville with Rick Seiter officiating. Interment will be in the Beechgrove Cemetery, Perry County. Visitation will take place 5–8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, from 11 a.m. until service begins.
