Jimmie R. Brammer Sr., 83 of Nelsonville, passed away on Sunday December 28, 2025, at Riverside Methodist Hospital.
He was born November 3, 1942, in Milton, West Virginia, a son of the late Edward “Bill” and Effie Brammer. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during the Vietnam era, and was the owner and operator of Brammer’s Custom Wood in Glouster. He took great pleasure in woodworking, dedicating time and effort to create pieces with his hands. In addition to his woodworking skills, he possessed a strong mechanical ability.
He is survived by a daughter Sherry A. (Melvin) Conway of Glouster; two sons Jimmie R. Brammer Jr., of Glouster and Joseph A. (Brenda) Brammer of Petersburg, VA; grandchildren Tyler, Zachary Brammer, Ashley Phillips, and Jacob Brammer; great grandchildren Ivy, Jasmine, and Hunter Phillips; a sister Nancy Kennedy of Glouster; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Norma J. Six Brammer; siblings Edward Scarberry, Mary Moore, and John Brammer; and a brother-in-law Roger Kennedy.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026, at the Morrison Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville. Interment will be in the Maplewood Cemetery in Glouster.
