ATHENS, Ohio –– Kathy L. Riley, age 61, of Athens, Ohio, passed away October 15, 2025, at her home.
Kathy was born June 10, 1964, in Nelsonville, Ohio, to Peg and Kenny Riley. Kathy loved spending time with her grandkids, crafting, reading, gardening, going to casinos, making flip-flop wreaths, baking, and helping others.
Surviving are her partner, Brian Williams; children, Mindy (CR) Henderson, Ron (Lynn) North, and Brandon (Erica) Willams; grandchildren, Braden Henderson, Kyla Henderson, Erik (Linda) Henderson, Cheyenne (Marc) Carter, Alyssa (Noah) Browning, Alison North, Logan Williams, and Lucas Williams; great-grandchildren, Xavier Henderson, Cora Henderson, Dawson Carter, and Jack Carter; siblings, Barb (Steve) Saving, and Kenny (Gina) Riley; sister-in-law, Trish Riley; special nieces, Misty and Becki; many special nephews; and pets Paige and Tiger.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Peg and Kenny Riley, and brother, Bill Riley.
Funeral services will be held at noon Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2025, at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home in Nelsonville, Ohio, with Leon Forté officiating. Following cremation, burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Nelsonville, Ohio
Calling hours will be observed from 2–4 p.m. and 6–8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20, 2025, and 11 a.m.–noon Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2025, prior to the service.
