Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home. Calling hours will be observed from 4–7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, and from 11 a.m.–1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28.

LOGAN, Ohio –– Mary Jean Dye, age 42, of Logan, passed away Sunday, January 20, 2026, at Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster, Ohio.

Mary was born July 7, 1983, in Logan to Charles R. and Betty J. Dye. Mary loved watching movies, especially Disney. Her favorite movie was Brave Little Toaster, and she also enjoyed Ghostbusters, The Ninja Turtles, and The Three Stooges. She also loved 50s and 60s rock music like Chubby Checkers and Fats Domino.

Surviving are her parents Charles and Betty Dye; siblings, Chuck (Christy Barnhart) Dye Jr, Clarence (Lisa) Dye, and Christopher “Ruben” (Michelle) Dye; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents; niece, Nikita Dye; and several aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home in Logan. Calling hours will be observed from 4–7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, and from 11 a.m.–1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, at the funeral home prior to the service. Burial will follow at Knollwood Cemetery in Logan.
