JACKSONVILLE, Ohio –– Matthew Harlan Buckman, 37 of Jacksonville, passed away Monday, Oct. 20, 2025, at his residence. He was born Aug. 2, 1988, in Athens. He was an avid fan of both the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Minnesota Vikings. In addition to his love for sports, he enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially fishing and camping.
He is survived by two daughters, Lily and Layla Buckman; the mother of his children, Sierra Buckman; his mother, Debra Buckman; a brother, Shaun Buckman; and a sister, Jessica Buckman.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert H. Buckman.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, 2025, at the Morrison Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville. A visitation will take place on Saturday from noon. until the time of service.
