
GLOUSTER, Ohio –– George Michael Mudrie, 84, of Glouster, passed away Friday, January 23, 2026, at the Laurels of Athens.
Born December 23, 1941, in Glouster, he was the son of the late George Steven and Grace Ethel Casselli-Gazelle Mudrie. He graduated from Glouster High School in 1959 and earned a German teaching degree from Ohio University.
He is survived by his caregivers and long-time neighbor, Bev and Lloyd Wyatt of Glouster; good friends, Foster “Sonny” Fultz of Glouster, Denny and Beth Madden of Valrico, FL., Sharon “Kay” Tillman of Evans, GA.; and the employees of the Glouster Family Dollar, Glouster Library, and Sikorski’s Home Plate Restaurant.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a cousin, Gary Tillman; good friends, Ben Bingman, Darrell “Pork Chop” Harding, and his childhood dog, Boots.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, at the Morrison Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville. A visitation will take place on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
