Vicki L. Marshall

A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3, at the Morrison Funeral Chapel.

COLUMBUS, Ohio –– Vicki L. Marshall of Lancaster, formerly of Glouster, passed away peacefully Thursday January 22, 2026, in Columbus, Ohio, at Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, surrounded by her family that loved her dearly.

Born June 21, 1947, in Athens, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Marshall and the late Helen Korpela Marshall. She was a 1965 graduate of Glouster High School.

In her younger years, she was a Navy wife and lived in many places including Florida, California, Washington, Puerto Rico, and Guam, where she gave birth to her daughter. She also spent time in Mexico, Canada, Hawaii, and St. Thomas.

After her travels as a Navy wife were complete in 1977, she returned to Redtown (Glouster) and soon graduated from Hocking College. In 1979, she began her 33-year career as the Fiscal Officer until she retired at the Athens County Sheriff’s Office, where she made many lifelong friends.

When not working, she loved fishing, reading, and most of all, spending time with her three grandchildren. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and was excited to finally see her team win the World Series after many years. She and her mother went to as many games as they could. She also loved riding motorcycles; while she had ridden in her earlier years, she bought herself a new bike at the age of 60.

She is survived by her daughter Brandy (Bob) Bradley, three wonderful grandchildren Mackenzi, Brooke, and Connor Cvetan, a brother Bob (Hedy Lukas) Marshall of Verona, WI. A sister-in-law Damianne Fischer, cousin Pat (Carol) Dew, cousin Jeanne (Dick) Young, nieces Lacey Marshall and Gillian (Ben) Fortney and nephew Levi Marshall. She is also survived by her “babies,” two Bischon mixes named Oliver and Olivia and her cat Paisley.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Mike Marshall.

We would like to extend a warm heartfelt thank you to all of Vicki’s doctors, nurses and staff at The James for their exceptional care after she was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer in 2016. Additionally, we would like to thank Ohio’s Hospice for not only the support provided to our family during this difficult time, but the love and care they provided to Vicki as she peacefully left this earth.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has occurred.  A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3, at the Morrison Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville. A message of comfort may be sent to the family by visiting the tribute wall at www.morrisonfc.com.
