Ohio Department of Transportation
- U.S. 33 Athens-Meigs expansion: Two-lane to four-lane expansion from Athens to Darwin and Five Points to Ravenswood. Estimated completion: 2028.
- Between Oxley Rd. (Athens County) and Rocksprings Rd. (Meigs County), the shoulders are closed and side roads are closed intermittently for equipment crossing through 2028.
- Rolling road blocks will be in place when rock blasting is occurring.
- The passing lane is closed in both directions on U.S. 33 between Oxley Rd. and Pleasant Hill Rd. through June 1, 2027.
- Pleasanton Road is closed through Nov. 20. ODOT’s detour is Old U.S. 33 to Pleasant Hill Rd.
- At Pleasanton Rd., a 13 ft. width restriction is in place on U.S. 33, and construction vehicles are periodically crossing both lanes of traffic. Temporary signals are maintaining traffic intermittently on U.S. 33 at Pleasanton Rd. through Nov. 20.
- On the four-lane section between Pleasanton Road (Athens County) and Rocksprings Road (Meigs County), lane closures in place in both directions through Dec. 31.
- U.S. 33 resurfacing: Lane closures will be in place from Nelsonville to Logan. Estimated completion: Nov. 7.
- Resurfacing at eastbound and westbound ramps at SR 93, SR 328 and SR 595, resulting in daytime ramp closures 7 a.m.–7 p.m., Oct. 5–16.
- The ramps will not all be closed simultaneously.
- The SR 328 ramps will also close for one night to pave the roundabout, and flaggers will maintain traffic on SR 328 and SR 595.
- U.S. 33 sign replacements: A sign replacement project is underway on U.S. 33 between SR 682 and Rock Riffle Road. Expect intermittent shoulder closures. Estimated completion: Nov. 30.
- SR 329 culvert replacement: A culvert replacement project is taking place on SR 329 between New England Road and SR 144. Traffic is being maintained with temporary signals. Estimated Completion: Oct. 30.
Nelsonville
- A pedestrian safety project is taking place on Fayette Street, Jefferson Street, Watkins Street, and Chestnut Street. Periodic sidewalk and parking closures. Estimated Completion: Oct. 31
New Marshfield
- Sewer project: Construction began June 8 and is expected to continue for approximately one year.
