GLOUSTER, Ohio — Patricia Sue Rodgers, 82, of Glouster passed away Monday, Oct, 30, 2023, at Grant Medical Center, Columbus. Born November 2, 1940, in Athens County, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Mae Knight Sisson. She was a 1960 graduate of Glouster High School and worked as a nurses aide. She was a member of the Athens County SALT program, the Hocking Valley Parish, and attended Bishopville Church of Christ. Patty enjoyed gardening, cooking, canning, and square dancing.
She is survived by three sons, Larry Sisson of Glouster, Don Rodgers of Glouster and Tom (Jennifer) Rodgers of Jacksonville; two daughters, Paula (Tony) McNickle of Jacksonville and Sue Ann (Howard) Miller of Glouster; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Jim Stoll.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Rodgers; a son, Ronald Rodgers; brothers Dwight, Tom, and Billy Sisson; sisters Donna Crass, Virginia McKee, Barbara McManaway, Delena Russell, Anne Boyce, Betty Oskey, and twin sisters, Janet and Jerri Sisson.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday Nov. 3, 2023, at the Morrison Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville with Jon Hanning officiating. Interment will be in the Hilltop Cemetery, Millfield.
