GLOUSTER, Ohio — Paul J. Cline, 63, of Glouster passed away Saturday, July 1, 2023, at his residence. Born September 25, 1959, in Nelsonville, he was the son of the late Joseph H. and Gaynol Banfield Cline.
He retired from Athens City Schools. He was a deacon and trustee of the Glouster Church of Christ, founder of the Athens County Bee Keeping Society, a motorcycle enthusiast who raced enduros and hare scrambles in Southern Ohio and was an avid hunter. The best time of Paul’s life was when he accepted Jesus Christ
as his Savior.
He is survived by his wife, Cheri Cline of Glouster; a son, Michael (Christina) Cline of Tampa, Florida; stepsons Derik (Jessi) Rutter, Cody (Cammie) Rutter and Ryan Rutter, all of Athens, Don Kempton of
Okinawa, Japan, and Chris Tarantelli of Glouster; a stepdaughter, Nikki Tarantelli of Glouster; several
grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a sister, Rosanne (Howard) Reeves of Heath; a nephew,
Howard (Sara) Reeves of Thornville; his church family; and numerous friends.
A cremation has taken place and a service will be held at a later date at the Glouster Church of Christ.
