ATHENS COUNTY, Ohio – The Community of Good Works has been providing assistance to seniors in Athens County with projects at their homes for over 26 years. Our Neighbors Helping Neighbors initiative helps low-income Seniors in Athens County who are widows, widowers, or who have a disability. Good Works provides volunteers to serve in labor intensive ways such as building ramps, repairing porches, restoring floors, painting, mowing, cleaning, etc. at the homes of Seniors. There is no cost for this service (although materials must be provided by the homeowner).
