ATHENS, Ohio – Yesterday was a special day for the Athens County Port Authority as we celebrated the dedication of our new ACPA Spec Building in honor of long-term board member and former Board Chair, Jack A. Bortle!
Jack dedicated an incredible 29 years of service to the Athens County Port Authority, including 16 years as Board Chair. His leadership, commitment, and dedication to the Port Authority has played an important role in advancing economic development and creating opportunities throughout Athens County.
During the ceremony, the Athens County Commissioners presented Mr. Bortle with a resolution recognizing his many years of service to the Port Authority and the Athens County Economic Development Council.
The Port Authority Board is grateful to Mr. Bortle and believes the Jack A. Bortle manufacturing building will serve as a lasting tribute to his leadership and the impact he made spanning his nearly three decades of service.
