ATHENS, Ohio – A DORA is a defined area where open container laws are relaxed, allowing individuals 21 and over to purchase alcoholic beverages from participating establishments and carry them within designated boundaries. In Athens, the DORA includes the Uptown area and portions of surrounding corridors, supporting local businesses, and enhancing the community experience.
Community input is an important part of evaluating how the DORA is working and identifying opportunities for improvement. Feedback collected through this survey may help inform future decisions regarding the program, including potential updates or expansion.
