ATHENS, Ohio — The Athens Farmers Market invites the community to close out Brew Week with an afternoon of outstanding local music, great drinks, delicious food, and a chance to help build the Community Pavilion – a permanent home for the Athens Farmers Market that will benefit generations to come.
On Sunday, July 19, from 4–8 p.m., the market will host its Community Pavilion Benefit Concert at Eclipse, bringing together local musicians, breweries, and community supporters at the beautiful Eclipse Company Store to raise funds for the Athens Farmers Market Community Pavilion.
Admission is a suggested $5 donation, with all proceeds supporting construction of the permanent, year-round home for the Athens Farmers Market.
Guests will enjoy performances by local favorites including:
- East of Hedon
- Hell Naw
- DUNE
The evening will also feature a silent auction with donations from local businesses and community supporters.
Beverage sponsors include:
- Dutch Creek Winery
- Little Fish Brewing Company
- Ciderhouse
- Devil’s Kettle Brewing
Every Gift Doubles Its Impact
Adding to the excitement, community supporter Lisa Carson has generously pledged to match every donation made during the month of July—up to $5,000. That means every dollar contributed at the event will go twice as far toward making the Community Pavilion a reality.
Building a Permanent Home for Community
For more than 50 years, the Athens Farmers Market has connected local farmers, food producers, artisans, and neighbors while strengthening the region’s economy and improving access to fresh, locally produced food.
The planned Community Pavilion will provide approximately 40 covered vendor spaces, year-round operation, improved accessibility, electrical service, lighting, winter accommodations, and flexible gathering space for community events. The pavilion will create permanent public infrastructure that supports farmers, entrepreneurs, the arts, healthy living, and community connection throughout the year.
“This project is about far more than constructing a building,” said AFM leadership. “It’s about creating a permanent home where local agriculture, small businesses, music, families, and community can come together every week for decades to come.”
An Invitation to Everyone
Whether you’re wrapping up Brew Week, supporting local music, discovering Athens for the first time, or simply looking for a fun Sunday afternoon, everyone is welcome.
Every ticket, every auction bid, and every donation helps build a stronger future for our community.
