Ralph W. Lunsford

GLOUSTER, Ohio –– Ralph W. Lunsford, 77 of Glouster, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2024, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. He was born in Athens on September 8, 1947, to the late Elmo and Donna “Jean” Carrigan Lunsford. He was a retired laborer and loved gardening and yard work, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping at Ohio Power, hanging out with his buddies at EZ Mart, and reminiscing about the old days. Ralph also enjoyed being the “Mayor of Fierce Ridge”.

He is survived by his wife Robin Exline Lunsford; two sons Michael (Patty) Lunsford and Lance (Dayna) Bonham; stepsons Toby (Mandy) Coey and Todd Coey; grandchildren Michael (Toni) Lunsford Jr., Colten and Alexis Coey, Isaac and Sara Coey, Ethan Coey, Nicolas Coey, Mason Coey, Quinn Bonham and Blake Bonham; great grandchildren Allisyn Green, Owen Lunsford, Liam Gillian, Grayson Coey, and Josephine Coey; a brother David (Nancy) Lunsford; sisters Judy (Clyde) Routt, Sharon (James) Auer, and Sandy (Mark) Nott. 

Besides his parents he was preceded in death his son Jason D. Lunsford and grandchildren Calista Ann Lunsford and Kelsey Rose Lunsford. 

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, Jan. 3, 2025 at the Bishopville Church of Christ, 6555 S. St. Rt. 78, Glouster, OH 45732, with Jerry Marang officiating. Interment will be in the Dew Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
