ALBANY- Rhonda Kay Rankin, age 55, of Albany, died Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at her home. Born July 17, 1969 in Columbus, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Roy Burnside and Mildred Roberts Burnside.
She was a 1987 graduate of Athens Christian School. She received her Associate’s degree in Nursing from Hocking College. She was employed as a nurse and Registered Nurse at O’Bleness Memorial Hospital and OhioHealth O’Bleness Hospital for over thirty years. She enjoyed her children, travel, vacations and her grandson.
Rhonda is survived by her husband, Eric Rankin; two daughters, Marilyn Rankin of Athens and Mallory Rankin of New York, NY; and her grandson, Everest Rankin. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her brother, David Burnside.
