GUYSVILLE- Sandra K. Schloss, age 77, of Guysville, died Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at OhioHealth O’Bleness Hospital, Athens. Born January 23, 1948 in Athens, she was the daughter of the late Charles Nichols and Marjorie Joyce Nichols.
A 1965 graduate of The Plains High School, where she was a cheerleader. She was also Miss The Plains Festival and Miss Parade of Hills in Nelsonville. She was a homemaker in the family home. She dearly loved her family and enjoyed flowers and gardening.
Sandra is survived by three sons, Mike (Sheila) Schloss of Guysville, Mark (Trish) Schloss of Guysville and Matt Schloss of Guysville; ten grandchildren; several great grandchildren; a sister, Joyce Ann Gowin of Norman, OK; a brother, Sammy (Diane) Nichols of Pennsylvania; three sisters in law, Sharon Whipkey and her husband Robert Whipkey Tate of Carlisle, Pa., Christy (Tim) Moore of Shade and Carole Schloss of Athens; a brother in law, Jim (Joan) Schloss of Chantilly, Va.; she is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and her special friend and pet cat, Buster.
Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, S. Jeffrey Schloss; a sister, Patricia Brozak; a daughter in law, Angel Schloss; a sister in law, Susan Venable.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are with Jagers & Sons Funeral Home, Athens.
