Sandy K. Jenkins, 57 of Glouster passed away Wednesday February 21, 2024, at O’Bleness Memorial Hospital, Athens. She was born April 8, 1966, in Athens. She formerly worked at Ohio University. Sandy enjoyed camping on the Muskingum River and was an avid Trimble and Ohio State fan. She also enjoyed road trips with family and friends of the neighborhood, sharing stories and laughter and creating lasting memories.
She is survived by her daughter, Katlyn Jenkins of Glouster; grandchildren, Karedan Losey and Sophia Davis, both of Glouster; her mother, Evelyn Albright Jenkins of Glouster; brothers, Mike (Tina) Jenkins and Paul (Denise) Jenkins, both of Glouster; a half-brother, Jon Pollard; a sister, Liz Jenkins of Glouster; a half-sister, Victoria Sekou-Mamadou; special friends, Denise Jenkins, Tammy McKee, and Sam Smathers; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Paul E. Jenkins; a sister, Beverly Palmer; paternal grandparents, Norman “Froggy” and Lucille Jenkins; and maternal grandparents, Holcie and Vivian Albright.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday February 27, 2024, at the Bishopville Church of Christ with Rick Seiter officiating. Interment will be in the Glouster Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the church. Contributions can be made to Morrison Funeral Chapel, 6525 State Route 78, Glouster, Ohio 45732 to assist with final expenses. Family and friends are invited to the Jacksonville Firehouse for a meal immediately following the burial on Tuesday.
