Scott was born on September 5, 1957, to Chuck and Shirley (Streets) Dailey in Athens, Ohio. He graduated from Athens High School in 1976, excelling in baseball and basketball. To honor his athletic skills, Scott was inducted into the AHS Athletic Hall of Fame. Scott graduated from Ohio University with a B.A. in business/advertising and an M.A. in sports business and administration. Scott was a kind, compassionate, and loving son, brother, friend, and uncle. He had a wonderful sense of humor, contagious laughter and persistent optimism. With love and conviction, Scott shared his Christian faith with anyone. Scott was a longtime member of the Athens Church of Christ, where he frequently led devotionals. As a son of a veteran, he was also a member of the Sons of the American Legion. An avid baseball and football fan, Scott enjoyed playing softball with friends and cheering for the Cincinnati Reds, Ohio State, and the Cincinnati Bengals. Scott loved our pets and was known to spoil
them with treats.
