ATHENS, Ohio — The City of Athens announces that South Shannon Avenue, between Ohio Avenue and Maplewood Drive, will be closed Monday, Oct. 26 for installation of a sewer tap. The road will be closed beginning at 8 a.m. and will be reopened by 4 p.m. There will be no through or emergency traffic during the closure. The city apologizes for any inconvenience.
