A Nelsonville city council member has resigned amid accusations of attempting to access city email addresses; meanwhile, the city moves to settle a “pending lawsuit” for over $20,000.
Within 24 hours of announcing his resignation as Nelsonville City Manager, Bernie Roell emailed city council to rescind that resignation. City council members did not agree on whether that rescission was effective.
