Thursday, Nov. 21
- SE Ohio Foodbank will distribute turkeys to residents of Athens County who live under 200% of the federal poverty guidelines. Photo ID and proof of residency are required to pick up a turkey. 3–5 p.m. Athens County Fairgrounds, 286 W. Union St., Athens.
- Meigs County Schools Food Pantry’s monthly food distribution will include special holiday offerings. Available to any Meigs County family with school-aged children. Lineup begins at 3:45 p.m., distribution begins at 4 p.m. Meigs Local Administrative Office Building, 41765 Pomeroy Pike, Pomeroy.
Sunday, Nov. 24
- Athens Seventh Day Adventist Church will offer a Thanksgiving meal as well as canned and other food items to take home. 1 p.m., 171 Morris Ave., Athens.

- Nelsonville Cornerstone Church will serve a Thanksgiving turkey dinner in its Fellowship Hall. 785 Jackson St., Nelsonville.
Sunday, Nov. 24
- Athens Seventh Day Adventist Church will offer a Thanksgiving meal as well as canned and other food items to take home. 1 p.m., 171 Morris Ave., Athens.
Wednesday, Nov. 27
- Ohio University will distribute 140 free Thanksgiving meals for students who register by noon on Friday, Nov. 21. 12–2 p.m., Gladys W. and David H. Patton Hall, first floor demo kitchen, 100 E. Union St., Athens
- United Campus Ministry’s weekly free meal is available to all; volunteers are welcome to come and help serve food. 12–2 p.m. 18 N. College St., Athens.
Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 28
- Kiser’s Barbeque will host a traditional Thanksgiving meal with vegetarian and vegan options. Beginning at 1 p.m., 355 E. State St., Athens.
- Tavolino will offer a meal featuring traditional Thanksgiving foods as well as some Italian classics. The dinner is free to all, but donations are accepted through Nov. 22. 5–7 p.m., 9 N. Shafer St., Athens.
- Smiling Skull Saloon will host a traditional Thanksgiving dinner in a fun, bar atmosphere. 5 p.m., 108 W. Union St., Athens.
The Max Bar and Grill will serve a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. The bar opens at noon; dinner begins at 3 p.m. 922 W. Hunter St., Logan.
