A coalition of groups led by the Outdoor Recreation Council of Appalachia, which is developing the Baileys Trail System of bike and hiking trails, submitted a $17 million funding pitch to the state. Funding would support a variety of projects, from expanding the system, connecting it to places like Buchtel and Nelsonville, further developing the Snow Fork Event Center, and making improvements to the Southeast Ohio History Center and Ohio University Museum Complex.
