| The annual Vinton County Airshow will be held 12:30 p.m. this Sunday, Sept. 21, 2025 at the Vinton County Airport, 66285 Airport Rd., New Plymouth –– just off SR 93, seven miles north of McArthur. Chicken dinners will be sold for about $13 each while they last. A $10 donation to the airport is requested per car. Flying acts will begin at 1 p.m. Santa Claus will skydive in and perform a candy drop at the end of the 2 hours of plane acrobatics for the kids. Following this, airplane rides will be conducted for those who RSVP for $40 a passenger. It’s a great family friendly event that never fails to thrill. Don’t miss the Flying Torro lawn mower act as well. It’s a real crowd pleaser! * Note: By order of the FAA, Airport Road will close at 12:30pm as the show begins. |
