The Nelsonville Water Department will be turning off water service to the Village of Buchtel at 9 a.m. Friday, Feb. 16, to allow crews to perform a connection of the new water main at 12th Street and to switch the Nelsonville/ York School Complex over to the new water line. The work should take approximately four (4) hours to complete. When water service is restored, there will be a boil order for the Village of Buchtel until 7 a.m. Monday, Feb. 19.
When a boil order is in effect, we ask all who are affected to boil their cooking and drinking water for three (3) minutes before being consumed.
