ATHENS, Ohio – The City of Athens announces that West Carpenter Street will be closed from Congress Street to Court Street on Friday, July 17, 2026, for storm tunnel inspection. Road will be closed from 8 a.m. until work is completed. There will be no thru or emergency traffic. Motorist are asked to avoid the area.
