Wilda M. Wells, 95 of Malta, Ohio passed away Friday, October 25, 2024, at the Riverside Landing Assisted Living Facility in McConnelsville, Ohio. Wilda was born on May 21, 1929, to the late Charles and Mary Miller Campbell. She retired from Glacier-Clevite, worked many years at the A&P Grocery stores until their closing, and served as the Clerk of Union Township for 16 years. She was a long-time member of Fairview Holiness Church. Wilda was a very talented quilter and made many of them to share with family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn (Dale) Horner of Malta and her son, Mike (Kelly) Wells of McConnelsville. Five grandchildren, Joni (Ralph) Hill, John Horner, Mike (Amanda) Wells Jr., Traci (Andy) Greuey, and Stephen (Kelsey) Wells. Also, she is survived by eleven great-grandchildren, and two brothers, Jerry Campbell of Millersport and Herbert Campbell of Zanesville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard Wells; sister, Helen Dilts; and brothers, Mark, Frank, and James Campbell.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday October 29, 2024, at the Malta Bible Church, 411 Main Street, Malta, Ohio, with burial to follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Union Township. Friends may call on the family from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, October 28, 2024, at the church and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
