ATHENS- William (Willy a.k.a. Bruiser) Dennis Young III, 38, of Athens passed away Saturday evening, August 17, 2024 at his home. Born November 11, 1985, in Florida he was the son of the late Joanna L. Davis (Crist) and William D. Young II.
Willy grew up in Gallipolis, Ohio and was a 2004 graduate of Gallia Academy High School. He had a love for fishing and being a goofball. He was known in the family as our “walking dictionary”, he was so smart. Willy was known for his kind heart and also his potty mouth and humor.
He is survived by his long time partner Karla Sexton, step dad Joseph (Jojo) Davis Sr., father Bill Young; sisters Mary Beth Young, Kristin Davis and brother Joseph Davis Jr.; special brother in law, Jeremy Walker; nieces Riley and Addisyn. Also surviving are several friends, cousins, aunts and uncles. He is preceded in death by his Momma, Josie whom he adored.
