Friday, June 28
9 p.m.: Fireworks at The Port Campground and Dock, 28584 Rock Run Rd, Coolville. Fulton’s Concession Food truck available for food and refreshments.
Thursday, June 27–Sunday, June 30
Fast Traxx Rumble by the River, FastTraxx Racing, 5999 Warren Drive, Nelsonville. Events daily. Fireworks following SX race on Saturday.
Wednesday, July 3
4 p.m.: Star-Spangled Special featuring OVSCA Sprint Cars, Skyline Speedway, 7274 Quiggly Road, Guysville.
5 p.m.: Car show, Market on State, 1002 E. State St., Athens.
10 p.m.: Fireworks, end of East State Street, Athens.
Thursday, July 4
11 a.m.–5 p.m.: Customer Appreciation Picnic, Kroger, 965 Poplar St., Nelsonville. Free food and games.
3 p.m.: Independence Day Potluck, Chesterhill Produce Auction, 8380 Wagoner Road, Chesterhill.
4 p.m. to close: Free admission to the Athens City Pool, 701 E. State St., Athens.
7 p.m.: Concert Under the Elms, Ohio University College Green, Union Street, Athens. Featuring Rod Miller as John Philip Sousa
9–11 p.m.: Fireworks Shuttle Train to Thunder in the Valley, Hocking Valley Scenic Railway, 33 W. Canal St., Nelsonville. Train departs from Nelsonville depot at 9 p.m.; return shuttle following fireworks. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased same day at the depot.
9:30 p.m.: Thunder in the Valley, Hocking College, Nelsonville. Parking available at Hocking College; do not park on Hocking Parkway or SR 691. VIP parking pass $10. VIP walk-in pass $3.
