A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, 2025, at the Morrison Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville with Rick Seiter officiating. Interment will be in the Beechgrove Cemetery, Perry County. Visitation will take place 5–8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, from 11 a.m. until service begins.

Ruth Ann’s wishes were to be cremated and there will be no services observed. Contributions in memory of Ruth Ann can be made to the Nelsonville Public Library.

Calling hours will be held 2–4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 28 and 6–8 p.m. at The Bishopville Church of Christ. In accordance with Mistie’s wishes, she will be cremated the following day.

The City of Athens announced Sept. 26 that the Stimson Avenue Bridge will be completely closed 3–7 a.m. Friday, Oct. 3.
