Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. at Jagers & Sons Funeral Home, Athens with Rev. Monte McCune officiating.  Everyone attending is asked to bring a story to share at his service. A Celebration of Life event will be held from 3–7 p.m. Sunday, July 20, 2025, at Ed Rannow Field at Athens High School in The Plains. Remarks will begin at 5 p.m.; family, friends and community members are encouraged to share their stories to remember and honor “Gibby.” 

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday July 3, 2025, at the Morrison Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville. A visitation will take place on noon Thursday until the time of service. 

Funeral service will be conducted 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at Jagers & Sons Funeral Home, Athens with Gary Alton officiating. Friends may call Tuesday 5–8 p.m. and 2 p.m. Wednesday until time of service both at the funeral home.
