Emergency cooling station at Athens Community Center

The city of Athens has announced that due to anticipated high temperatures, the Athens Community Center is being designated as an emergency cooling station, beginning June 17-23 during regular hours. People needing to get out of the heat may use the lobby areas while the center is open. Hours of operation are:

Monday-Friday: 6 a.m.-8 p.m.

Saturday: 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

Sunday: 1-5 p.m.
